PEOPLE COMING AND GOING

  J. A. Campbell, of Harrisburg, spent Sunday in town.
  Miss Maude Likens, of Gaysport, who is employed in the office of Supervisor 
Edwin Hoopes, of the P. R. R., at the depot, has returned from a very 
enjoyable vacation trip of two weeks to Pittsburg and Philadelphia.
  The many friends of Mrs. J. M. Shuck, of North Penn street, who with her 
son Richard has been spending the summer with her sister, Mrs. L. C. Dilks, 
of Wrightsville Beach, N. C., will be glad to learn that her condition is 
much improved, she having been very ill for some time past.
  Howard N. Sell and wife, of East Hickory street, spent the week-end at 
Johnstown.
  Harry T. Peters, of St. Louis, Mo., was a motor visitor in town on Sunday.
  Dr. John G. Powell, a lieutenant in the U. S. navy, who is serving as a 
physician and surgeon on transports, is spending a short furlough with his 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Powell, of Gaysport.
  Messrs. Charles Curran, Waldo Berkimer and E. J. Irwin, three local young 
men who are undergoing military training at the Carnegie institute at 
Pittsburg, spent the week-end at home.
  C. B. Kantner and family, of Sharpsville, Mercer county, are enjoying an 
automobile trip through this part of the state, and are visiting friends and 
relatives at Hollidaysburg, Frankstown township and other points in the 
county.
  Fred C. Brenner, of the aviation detachment, Long Field, Tex., is spending 
a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Brenner, of West Walnut 
street.
  Rev. Julius F. Seeback, pastor of the Lutheran church, arrived home on 
Saturday from Camp Taylor Louisville, Ky., where he has been a camp pastor 
for the past four months and occupied the pulpit yesterday morning and 
evening.  Rev. Seeback makes a fine appearance in the neat-fitting uniform, 
and greatly enjoyed the stay among the soldiers at camp.
  Harry G. King, of East Hickory street was at Salemville over Sunday, with 
his family, who are spending some time there enjoying the pleasure of life in 
a cottage, on the mountain side.
  Mrs. F. S. Rice and son Theodore, formerly of Hollidaysburg, and now 
residing near Pittsburg, are spending several days with friends and relatives 
in the county capital.
  Dr. Catherine Maud Graves leaves Tuesday for a brief pleasure trip to 
Philadelphia and Atlantic City, where she will be joined by her husband on 
his return from a visit at his home at Richmond, Virginia.
  Mrs. Ross VanAllman of West Spruce street, and family, are spending a few 
weeks at Wopsononock at the Dorothy cottage.
  Fred Brenner, son of Mr. and Mrs., Orlando Brenner, who is in training at 
Kelly Field, Texas, is spending a short furlough with his parents on East 
Walnut street.
