THREE TRAINMEN HURT IN FRANKSTOWN WRECK
Harrisburgers Tossed About When Cabin Is Pushed Over Switch in Yard

  Three Middle division freight trainmen, all residents of Harrisburg, were 
injured at 9:10 o'clock last night when Extra 1828, westbound, pushed its 
cabin off a switch leading from a yard track at Frankstown.
  The victims:
  H. S. Line, aged 47, Harrisburg, flagman, contusions of body and rendered 
unconscious.
  Victor E. Crosson, aged 42, Harrisburg, brakeman, sprained arm, lacerations 
of body.
  H. M. Sparr, aged 46, Harrisburg, brakeman, contusions and abrasions of 
hands and body.
  Line was caught under the cabin car and was the worst injured.  He was 
extricated and with the others, placed on an engine and taken to 
Hollidaysburg where attention was given the trio by company Surgeon H. H. 
Brotherlin.  Later they were sent to their homes.
  Engineer J. D. Fisher and Conductor J. Milliken were in charge of the 
train, which undertook to back from a yard track to No. 1 track and in doing 
pushed the cabin over a switch.  The accident was cleared at 10:35 p.m.

FIREMAN BREAKS ARM FALLING OFF ENGINE
Orlindo Madonna, of 2321 Eighth Avenue, Hurt at East Altoona - Other Mishaps

  Slipping on the tank attached to a locomotive at East Altoona engine shops, 
Orlindo Madonna, aged 33, of 2321 Eighth avenue, a Pennsy freight fireman, 
fell and fractured his left wrist Saturday morning at 7:20 o'clock.
  Madonna was taken to Altoona hospital, the break X-rayed and reduced.  
William C. Walters, aged 31, R. F. D. No. 2, suffered a puncture wound above 
the right knee at the Pennsy baggage room Saturday when a barrel he was 
unloading rolled from a truck and a hook ran into his thigh.  He was treated 
at the hospital dispensary.
  Hugh Boggs, aged 46, 405 Third avenue, had a bone in his left hand broken 
at Fourth street shop Saturday when an equalizer he was moving caused him to 
fall against a truck and strike his hand.  
  Frank Pagmotta, aged 38, 1020 Twenty-seventh street, had his left arm 
contused when a metal sheet fell at Fourth street steel shop.
  Joseph Guzluggo, aged 41, 306 Ninth avenue, strained himself lifting a 
heavy weight at No. 2 erecting shop.  William A. Hudson, aged 50, 409 Maple 
avenue, employed at Twelfth street shops had a foreign body removed from his 
left eye.  George Douglass, aged 36, 1615 Sixth avenue, was thrown upon his 
right arm when a bar slipped at Twelfth street shops, and he suffered a 
contused and sprained wrist.
  Lee Cunningham, aged 20, 807 Lexington avenue, sprained his right hand 
lifting a crane.  Gabriel Seigel, aged 26, 1603 First avenue, was treated for 
a severe infection of the right hand and William Pantazes aged 11, 708 
Eleventh avenue, fell and broke his left forearm.  Josephine Mullen, aged 17, 
Claysburg, had an abscess under her left arm lanced, and Paul Garrett, aged 
7, of 933 Seventeenth street, had an infected right hand dressed.
