CAPTAIN DUNKLE IS OPTIMISTIC WRITER

Commander of Company G in Letter to I. C. Mishler Expresses Confidence

A letter from Captain John Dunkle, commander of Company G, 110th
Pennsylvania infantry, under date of July 19, to I. C. Mishler, this city,
was received yesterday morning and expresses the confidence of the Blair
county unit leader about American participation in the big drive.
While little of a news nature was contained in the communication, Captain
Dunkle's boys not having been actually engaged in the great push at that
period, it is replete with optimistic thoughts and expressions, common among
the brave Blair countians who are doing their best on the firing line.
All members of the company were enjoying good health and were eager to get
into the fray, when the letter was written last month.
