Cambria Freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) October 22, 1868
Wm. King, who was arrested in this place not long since for horse stealing in
Westmoreland county, succeeded in making his escape from the Greensburg jail, in
company with another prisoner named Anderson, on election day, by getting into the
privy vault and cutting through a brick wall with a case knife only, and then
removed a large stone from the outer wall. Anderson has been captured, but King was
still at large at last accounts.
