The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) January 3, 1934
Robert Kuhns, aged 83, was seriously injured when he was struck by a truck belonging
to the Fleischman Yeast Co., while walking along the highway, en-route to the store,
near his home in Oak Grove, Saturday evening about 6:00 o'clock. The driver of the
truck swerved the machine in an effort to avoid striking Mr. Kuhns, and would have
succeeded, had not the back end of the machined swung around. Mr. Kuhns had several
ribs broken and was badly bruised. He was taken to the Latrobe Hospital, Sunday,
where his condition is reported as fair.
