Raftsman's Journal. (Clearfield, Pa.) March 24, 1858
On Friday last, the Tannery of Mr. Michael O'Neil, in Mt. Pleasant township, this
county, was partly destroyed by fire. The fire originated from the stove pipe. A
large amount of leather was damaged to such an extent as to be entirely useless. The
loss is about $2,000 and is covered by insurance.
