Latrobe Bulletin Sat, Oct 12, 1968 October 12, 1968
The Correll Store building, an area landmark, on Route 982 and the Bethel Church
Road near Baggaley, has changed hands...Andrew "Brownie" Ridilla recently
purchased the building and will convert it into an automatic coin laundry. The
large barn at the rear of the store is being used for a storage room for
building supplies. The building was erected before the turn of the century and
in 1911 William Correll bought it and opened a store, taking his son, Ralph E.,
into partnership in 1925. The elder man retired in 1953 and his son continued in
business until December, 1963. The store also served as the Baggaley Post Office
for quite a few years until R.D. Route 4 was established and people of that area
began receiving their mail through the Latrobe Post Office. Ralph Correll and
his wife, who lived in the apartment at the rear of the store building, have
purchased a home in Youngstown which they expect to occupy in a week or two.
