Latrobe Bulletin April 25, 1936
A happy gathering met in the parsonage of St. James Lutheran church, Youngstown,
Wednesday evening. The Gleaners' Class and their families assembled to celebrate
the birthday of their pastor, the Rev. J. Leonard Fischer, who was taken by
surprise while at work in his study. All those present enjoyed a most pleasant
evening, passed with conversation and games for young and old. Just before the
serving of the refreshment course, Mrs. Henry Cramer presented Rev. Fischer with
a handsome lounging coat, from the Gleaners' Class. His Sunbeam Brother
presented him with a pair of kid gloves.
