Latrobe Bulletin Mon, May 08, 1972 

Military services for Louis E. Blaine, a veteran of World War II, were conducted
at St. Mary Cemetery Friday morning by members of Post 515, American Legion
Funeral Detail. The religious committal service at the graveside was rendered by
the Rev. James O'D. Hanlon of Holy Family Church. Serving as pallbearers were
John Marcinik, Eugene Casey, Joseph Urban, Valentine Andros, Stanley J.
Guskiewicz and Ted Karona. The deceased served from April, 1942, to December,
1944, in the U. S. Army in Co. L. 157th Infantry. He spent over a year in the
Sicilian and Italian Campaigns. Military rites were conducted by Charles Beatty,
past commander, and S. Raymond Larimer, chaplain, both of Post 515. The flag was
folded by Frank Novack and Leonard Mihlfried and presented to George Blaine, a
brother of the deceased, by Chaplain Larimer. Composing the color guard of Past
515 with Commander John Beatty in charge were Albert Gretok, and Joseph
Churbock, color bearers, Tom Baldridge, and Frank Asbee. They presented the
farewell military salute as taps were sounded by the bugler, Ray Angeline.
