Mrs. Balbina R. Allison, 92, of 321 E. Third Ave., Derry, died Sept. 6, 1982, at
her home. Born Feb. 1, 1890, in Derry, she was a daughter of the late Jacob H.
and Catherine M. Gaus Rush. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic
Church, Derry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Allison, April
25, 1975. Surviving are four sons, Howard of Mount Pleasant, Jack of Latrobe,
Tom of Masontown and Leo of Derry; five daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Ault
of Armagh, Mrs. William (Jane) Polaski of Monongahela, Mrs. Andrew (Eleanor)
Maslar of Greensburg, Mary Martha at home, and Mrs. Betty Ann Phillippi of
Derry; 33 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren,
and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Murty, Mrs. Rose Hanna and Mrs. Bertha Heacox, all
of Derry. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. Wednesday in Michael J. Quinlisk Funeral Home, 548 N. Chestnut St.,
Derry. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St.
Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Derry. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the
funeral home. Contributions may be made to the window fund at St. Joseph Roman
Catholic Church, Derry.
