The Altoona Tribune. (Altoona, Pa.), September 20, 1860 September 1860
One day last week while Robert L. Campbell, of Cook twp., Westmoreland county,
was
loading some tan bark, he was attacked by a largo black snake, which succeeded
in winding itself around one of his legs, but, by the assistance of bis son, it
was
disengaged, and killed before it could do any harm. It Measured nearly six feet.
