William H. Schreiner

Be it remembered that I William H. Schreiner of the City of Philadelphia and 
State of Pennsylvania being considerably advanced in years but sound in mind and 
understanding and desirous of settling my wordly affairs whilst I have health 
and capacity to do Hereby do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament as 
follows hereby revoking and making null and void all former wills heretofore 
made by me at any time.
FIRST I give devise and bequeath unto my Executors herein named their Heirs 
Executors Administrators or assigns or such survivor, all my Estate Real 
Personal or Mixed which I shall be seized or possessed of at the time of my 
decease upon Trust for the purpose of this my Last Will and Testament as herin 
set forth and declared
ITEM I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid, and my property 
be appraised according to law.
ITEM  It is my will and I hereby direct my Executors or the survivors of them 
their Heirs Executors or Administrators of them to consider the present 
depressed price of Real Estate and the prospect of it approximating its 
intrinsic value in the near future, and would therefore advise them to defer the 
sale of the said Real Estate untill a propitious time, and thus advance their 
own financial interests.
ITEM  I hereby give to my Executors, Administrators and assigns or their 
successors full power to let and devise any and all my Real Estate of which I 
shall die seized, with full power to sell all or any part of said Real Estate at 
public or private sale for cash or mortgage or part cash part mortgage or on 
ground rent, for such price or prices as may be reasonably obtained  for the 
same, and by deed or deeds conveyances or assurances in law to grant convey and 
assure to same REal Estate to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, his, her or 
their Heirs and Assigns forever free and discharged from all trusts limitations 
restrictions or provisions declared of the same or directed in and by this my 
Last Will and Testament and from all liability to see to the application of the 
purchase money thero and from all responsibility for the non application or 
misapplications thereof.
ITEM  I give and bequeath to my grandsons (children of Richard C. Schreiner, 
deceased) jointly the sum of Three Hundred Dollars, viz, that is to say, One 
Hundred and Fifty Dollars in cash for each as he arrives at the age of Twenty 
One years, should they both live, otherwise the survivor to take the whole 
amount of Three Hundred Dollars.
ITEM  I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Jane Schreiner One Half of the 
residue of all my Real Personal and Mixed Estate as the same may be turned into 
money, her receipt to be a sufficient satisfation.  Beside which I give her such 
of my household goods, pictures, books, clothing, provisions etc. in the house 
at the time of my decease (not to exceed the sum of Three Hundred Dollars) that 
she may select, if she so desires; if not same to be appraised and credited to 
my general estate.
ITEM  I give and bequeath to my beloved son William H. Schreiner, Jr. the other 
one half of the residue of all my real personal or mixed estate when the smae is 
turned into money and his receipt shall be a sufficient satisfaction for the 
same.
In witness whereof I nominate and appoint my wife Mary Jane Schreiner and my son 
William H. Schreiner, Jr. Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and 
subscrbe my hand and seal this Nineteenth day of January AD Eighteen Hundred and 
Eighty Five (1885)

Testament in the presence of us and at his request we hereunto subscribe our 
names as witnesses thereof

Then personally appeared Chas. Savidge and William Haslam two of the subscribing 
witnesses to the foregoing last will of William H. Schreiner, deceased, and on 
their solemn oaths did say that they were present and did see and hear William 
H. Schreiner deceased the Testator therein named, sign, seal, publish and 
declare the same for his last will and Testament, and that at the doing thereof, 
he was of disposing mind an understanding to the best of their knowledge and 
belief.

We do affirm that as Executors of the foregoing last will and testament of 
William H. Schreiner dec'd. We will well and truly administer the goods and 
chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, according to law, and that we 
will dilligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the 
provisions of the law relating to collateral inheritences.  That the said 
Testator died on the 27th day of April AD 1888 at 2/2 o'clock AM.
Affirmed and Subscribed before me the date above and letters 
of Testamentary granted unto them.
