Will of Richard Prigg

I Richard Prigg of the City of Philadelphia in the Province of Pennsilvania ----
- going sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory and calling to mind 
the frailty of this life and that all flesh must dye do make and ordain this my 
last will and testament as follows revoking all former and other legacies wills 
and bequests by me at any time heretofore made willed or bequeathed either by 
word or writing.  First I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be 
duly paid and discharged by my executor herein after named.  Also I give devise 
and bequeath unto my dear wife Catharine the sum of fifty pounds lawful money of 
America in ---- and in place of her thirds joynture or dower.  Also I give 
devise and bequeath unto my son William Prigg the sum of fifty pounds money 
aforesaid.  Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Prigg the sum 
of fifty pounds money aforesaid and if either of my said children dye during 
minority and without issue then living my will is that such deceased childs 
portion and legacy shall go to the survivor of them.  Also I give devise and 
bequeath all the residue and remainder of my estate goods and chattells to be 
equally divided amongst my said wife and two children share and share alike and 
I hearby nominate and bequeath and appoint my wife Catharine said executrix of 
this my last will and testament in writing wherefore I Richard Prigg have put my 
hand and seal unto this my last will and testament dated the eighteen day of 
August in the sixth year of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of God King 
of Great Britain Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and Nineteen Richard 
Prigg his mark seal signed and delivered by the said Richard Prigg as his last 
will and testament in the presence of Paul Wilmorton John Goheen and Jno 
Cadwalader Philadelphia September 29, 1719 There personally appears Paul 
Wilmorton and John Cadwalader two of the witnesses to the foregoing will and on 
their solemn affirmations according to said did declare they saw Richard Prigg 
the testator sign seal publish and declare the same as his last will and 
testament and that at the doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to 
the best of their knowledge.

Be it remembered that on the 29th day of Sept 1719 the last will and testament 
of Richard Prigg decd was proved in due form of law and probate and letters of 
admin was granted to Catharine Prigg Executrix thereby named being first sworn 
well and truly to adm and to bring an inventory of this said estate unto the reg 
generals office at Philadelphia at or before the 29th of October next and also 
to render another when required.  Given under the Seal of said Office.
