In the Name of God Amen I Robert Matthews
of Exeter in the County of Philadelphia being Sick and weak in Body
but of a sound mind and memmory thanks be given to God for the same do
make this my last Will and Testament in mannor following
Imprimis my Will and Mind is that First of all any just Debts
be Honestly paid by my Executris. I give and Bequeath unto my
Children John, Townsends, Amelia, Robert, Rebecca, Mary & Solomon
to Each of them the Sum of Five Shillings. Then I give and Bequeath
unto my beloved Wife Mary in Lieue of her Dower all the residue of
my Estate Real and Personal quick and Dead to be held & Enjoyed
by her so long as she remaine my Widow But in Case she should
marry of Dye before my children are of age Then I order all my
Estate to be Sold and Disposed of and the Money to be Divided amongst
my Children so that each Son shall have a Double Share of Twice as much
as Each Daughter. And I do appoint my Wife Mary and Michael Warren
Executors of this my Last Will and Testamet.

Signed Sealed published pronounced and Declared by the above
Named Robert Mathews in the presence of us that the above writing
is his Last Will and Testament the 12th day of May 1748 William
the mark of
(O) Collins Geo Boone Robt Patterson. Philada 6th June. Then personally
appeared William Collins & Geo Boone two of the Witnesses to the foregoing
Will and the said Wm on his oath & the said George on his Solemmn
affirmacon according to law respectively did Declare they Saw and
heard Robt Mathews the Testator herein named Sign Seal Publish
and Declare the Same Will for and as his Last Will and Testament
and that at the doing thereof He was of Sound mind memory understanding
to the best of their knowledge, Corme? Wm Plumsted Reg. Genl
Be it remembered that on the 6th day of June 1748
the Last will and Testament of Robt Mathews Deced was proved
in Due form of Law and Probate and Letters testamentary
were granted to mary Mathews & Michael Warren Executers in
the said Testament named being first Solemnly affirm'd well and
truly to Administer the said Deed Estate and to bring an Inventy
thereof into the Reg. Genl office at Philada a??? before the 6 day
of July next & render a true accot when thereunto Law fully required
