2 January 1795 Will of (Hans) George LESHER

In the Name of God Amen, I George Lesher of the Township of Moyamensing in 
the County of Philadelphia Farmer, being of Sound mind and good Understanding thanks 
be to God for the Same; do make this my Last Will and Testament in the Manner and form 
following; First, that all my Just debts and funeral expences [sic] be paid as soon as may be 
convenient after my decease.  I then give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary 
Lesher all my real and personal Estate Wheresoever and whatsoever so long as She my 
said Wife doth Live; After her Decease, I then give and bequeath unto my Son George 
Lesher ten & half Acres of land Lying and situate in Pasyunk [sic] Township in the County 
of Philadelphia, joining the Lands of Bingham & Shippey, the Lower part Joining Sober's 
Land to him and his Heirs Forever; Provided he the said George do well and truly pay 
unto his Sister Mary or her Heirs, the Sum of Fifty pounds (in Gold or Silver) Lawful 
Money of Pensylvania [sic].  Also the said George must pay a certain Sum of Money for 
which I am now bound to pay; in failure thereof by the said George the Said ten & half 
Acres must be sold to satisfy the Same.  I then Give and bequeath unto my Son Jacob 
Lesher ten and half Acres of Land with the Dwelling House and other Appurtenances 
thereunto belonging, Lying and Situate in Pasyunk [sic] Township joining the Lands of 
Cruckshank & Hick and the Land of my Son George aforesaid to him and his Heirs 
forever; provided he the said Jacob do Well and truly pay to his Sister Mary or her Heirs 
the Sum of Fifty pounds (in Gold or Silver) Lawful Money of Pensylvania [sic] ; I then 
Give and bequeath unto my Son John Lesher My Dwelling House wherein I now Live also 
Twenty one Acres of Land thereunto belonging Lying and Situate in Moyamensing 
township in the County of Philadelphia, joining the Lands of Andrew Haney in two parts, 
and the Land of Bostian [sic] in one other part provided He the said John do Well and 
truly pay to his Sister Mary or her Heirs the Sum of One Hundred Pounds (in Gold or 
Silver) Lawful Money of Pensylvania [sic]; Also One other Hundred Pounds to be paid by 
my said Son John in Order to satisfy any just debts that may be found due after the death 
of My said Wife to him and his Heirs forever.  Lastly, I do by these presents Constitute 
and Appoint, and have Constituted and Appointed, my beloved Wife Mary Lesher And my 
beloved Son John Lesher to be Executors to this my Last Will and Testament; And I do 
hereby make null and void all other Wills heretofore made by Me; In Witness Whereof I 
have hereunto Affix'd my hand and Seal this Second Day of January in the Year of Our 
Lord One thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety Five
