In the Name of God Amen this Fifteenth day of May in the Year of Our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy three I Jane Henderson of the township of
Warrington in the County of Bucks in the province
of Pensilvania[sic] being weak in body but of sound and disposing Mind and
Memory thanks be to God therefore And knowing that it is appointed for all
Men and Weomen[sic] once to die do make and Ordain this my last Will and
Testament in Manner and Form following  Viz Principally and First I recommend
my Soul to God who gave it And my Body to the Earth to be therein Buried in a
Christian like Manner at the discretion of my Executors hereafter to named
And as to the Worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose
thereof as followeth that is to say  Imprimis my Will is that all my Just
Debts and funeral Expences[sic] be fully Paid
Item I give and Bequeath unto my Son John Henderson's three daughters Viz
Jane, Hannah & Sarah the Sum of Twenty Pounds Money of Pensilvania[sic] Each
and five pounds to his daughter Elizabeth to be paid by my Executors out of
my Estate when She Arrive to the Age of Twenty two Years Each but if either
of them marry
before the Arrive to the Afforsd Age that their respective Legacy shall be
paid upon their Marriage day but

if Either of them shall die before they arrive to the Afforsd Age or Marriage
that their respective Legacy shall be paid to the Child or Children that may
hereafter be born to my Son John if Children to be Equally divided between
them the above mentioned Legacies to be kept at Interest and it to be laid
out for the Support of my Son John & his Family at the discretion of my
Executors Item I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the Sum of Thirty
pounds to be paid out of my Estate by my Executors in Manner following the
Interest Yearly and the Principal if her Necessity Require it at the
discretion of my Executors but if she shall not need it to be Equally divided
between her Children after her decease Item I give and Bequeath unto my Son
John the Sum of Five Pounds to be paid out of my Estate by Executors in One
Year after my Decease  Item I give to my Grandaughter Sarah Crawford the Sum
of Five Pounds Money as Afforsd with Interest for the same when she arrives
to Age of Eighteen Years to be paid out of my Estate by my Executors  Item I
give to my Son in law Andrew Crawford and his Wife Sarah the Sum of Five
Shillings Each to be paid out of my Estate by my Executors  Item I give and
bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Long the Sum Five pounds Money as afforsd
to be paid by my Executors out of my Estate  Item I give and Bequeath my Son
in law William Long the Sum of five Shillings to be paid by my Executors out
of my Estate  Item I give and Bequeath the Remainder of my Estate after all
my Just debts & the Legacies I have bequeathed are fully paid unto the Child
or Children of my Son John that may hereafter be born to be Equally divided
amongst them but in default of such Children to be equally divided among his
daughters then living  Item I give and Bequeath my Daughter Mary my Long &
Short Cloak to be delivered to her Immediately after my decease  Item I give
and Bequeath the Remainder of my wearing Apparel to be Equally divided
between my Daughters Mary Mageighan & Elizabeth Long & Anne Henderson  Item I
give and Bequeath my Poplar Chest with what Linnen[sic] and other Things that
may be in it at my Decease to my Grand Daughter Hannah Henderson but if she
shall die before she receives it I give to my Grand Daughter Sarah Henderson
I do Hereby Nominate and Appoint & Constitute my trusty Friends William
Torbent and Samuel Holster my whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will
and Testament And I do hereby revoke and Disannul and make void all former
Wills and Testaments heretofore by me made or declared Either in Writing or
by Word of mouth Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last
Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal

Signed Sealed Published pronounced and declared by the said Jane Henderson in
presence of us Jonathan Roberts  Nathan Sturgis  John Sturgis  Phineas Phillips

        Philada November 25th 1775 personally appeared Nathan Sturgis and
John Sturgis two of the Witnesses to the foregoing Will And on Oath did
declare that they saw and heard Jane Henderson the Testatrix therein named
Sign Seal publish and declare the same Will for and as her last Will and
Testament And that at the Execution thereof She was of sound Mind Memory and
Understanding to the best of their Knowledge and Belief 
Coram Benjamin Chew Reg Genl      Be it remembred[sic] That on the 25th day
of November 1775 the last Will and Testament of Jane Henderson deceased in
due Form of Law was proved and Probate and Letters Testamentary were granted
to William Torbent and Samuel Holster Executors in the said Testament named
they having first been duly Sworn well and truly to administer the said
deceased's Estate and bring and Inventory thereof into the Register Generals
Office at Philadelphia on or before the 25th day of december next and render
a true and Just Account of the said Administation on or before the 25th day
of November 1776 or when thereto legally required Given under the Seal of the
