Philadelphia County Will No 486, 1874, Samuel Arbuckle

Be It Remembered that I, Samuel Arbuckle of the City of Philadelphia being of 
sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and publish this as my 
last Will and Testament in manner following To Wit
      Item I order and direct all my just debts and Funeral expenses to be paid 
and satisfied as soon after my decease as may be practicable or convenient.
      Item I give devise and bequeath all my Estate Real, Personal and Mixed of 
every Kind and description and wheresoever situate of which I am possessed or to 
which I may be entitled at the time of my decease unto my beloved Wife Maria for 
and during the term of her natural life.
      Item Upon the decease of my beloved Wife my will and Testament is as 
follows, I leave my House and Lot Nine hundred and nineteen (919) Warnock Street 
to my Grandaughter, Anna M Yearsley Wife of John H Yearsley in fee for ever.
      Item I leave all the rest or balance of my Estate (after deducting the 
above mentioned House and Lot 919 Warnock) to my beloved Daughter Rebecca Stull 
wife of Geo W Stull Senior during the term of her natural Life.
      Item  Upon the decease of my Daughter Rebecca Stull, my will and Testament 
is, that all my Estate, vested in her, during her life time, whether Real, 
Personal, or Mixed, shall become the Property of my six Grand Children, viz 
Blanche, Minor Child of Geo W Stull Jr deceased John T Stull, Adam A Stull, 
Elizabeth Stull, Mary A Stull, and Samuel A Stull, Children and Grandchild of 
Rebecca Stull Wife of Geo W Stull Senior to be divided between them in equal 
parts Share and share alike and if either of said Grand Children should die 
leaving issue such issue shall be entitled to and receive the Share that the 
Parent of said Child would be entitled to receive but if any of my said Grand 
Children should die without leaving issue then the Share of said deceased Grand 
Child shall be divided equally among the survivors of my said Grand Children or 
their issue if any should die leaving issue.
      Item I hereby constitute and appoint Geo W Stull and his son Adam A Stull 
my sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
      Item I hereby revoke and declare Null and void any and every other Will 
and Testament or writing in the nature thereof by me heretofore made and publish 
this only and alone as my last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I the said Samuel Arbuckle have hereunto set my hand and 
affixed my seal at Philadelphia this Fourteenth Day of December in the year of 
our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Two (1872)

Then personally appeared John G Ruff one of the subscribing witnesses to the 
foregoing last will of Samuel Arbuckle deceased, and on his solemn oath did say 
that he was present, and did see and hear Samuel Arbuckle deceased, the Testator 
therein named, sign seal, publish and declare the same as and for his last will 
and testament, and that at the doing thereof he was of sound, disposing mind, 
memory, and understanding, to the best of his knowledge and belief.

Then personally appeared John G Ruff who being duly sworn according to law, says 
that he was well acquainted with John Stillman, one of the subscribing witnesses 
to the foregoing last will of Samuel Arbuckle deceased, and is familiar with his 
signature, having frequently seen him write his name as well as other matters; 
that he has carefully examined the foregoing signature as witness to said last 
will and verily believes it to in his own proper handwriting the Said John 
Stillman being since deceased.

We do affirm that, as the Executors of the foregoing last will and testament of 
Saml Arbuckle deceased, we will well and truly administer the goods and 
chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, according to laws and that we 
will diligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the 
provisions of the law relating to Collateral Inheritances.

Personally came before me Register of Wills, in and for the said City and 
County, John G Ruff and John T Stull who upon their solemn affirmation did say, 
that the request of the Executors then did well and truly and without prejudice 
or partiality, value and appraise the Goods and Chattels, Rights and Credits, 
which were of Samuel Arbuckle deceased, and in all respects perform their 
duties as appraisers, to the best of their skill and judgment.
Affirmed and subscribed this 6th day of October 1874, before me

Inventory and Appraisement of the Goods and Chattels, Rights and Credits where 
were of Samuel Arbuckle late of Philadelphia, taken and made in conformity with 
the above deposition.
