I, James A. Beatty, of East Mahoning Township, County of Indiana, and State of
Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory, and understanding, do make and publish
this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by
me at anytime heretofore made.
1.I hereby direct my executors of this, my last will and testament to pay all my just and
legal debts and my funeral expenses as soon after my decease as can be conveniently
done.
2. To my beloved wife,Susan Hershberger Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of
Fifty Dollars, the same to be in lieu of her widows dowry.
3.To Clarence C. Beatty I hereby give and bequeath the sum of one dollar.
4. To my grand daughter, Isabel Beatty, daughter of my son, Roy Beatty, deceased, I
hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
5. To my son, Robert N. Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
6. To my son, Harry M. Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
7. To my daughter, Berdetta Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
8. To my son, Homer Carl Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
9. To my daughter, Mary E.Beatty Shaw, wife of E.W. Shaw, I hereby give and bequeath
the sum of Fifty dollars.
10. To my son, Josiah H. Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
11. To my daughter, Lula Olive Beatty Barnhart, wife of Clark W. Barnhart, I hereby give
and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
12. To my son, James D. Beatty, I hereby give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
13. To my grandson, Albert Leroy Beatty, son of my daughter, Mary E. Shaw, I hereby
give and bequeath the sum of Fifty dollars.
13. All the rest and remainder of my estate that is my property, real, personnal, or mixed,
and whatsoever situate, I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to the following named
children, and grandchildren: To Isabel Beatty one share, to Robert N. Beatty, one share,
to Harry M Beatty one share, to Berdetta Beatty one share, to Homer Carl Beatty one
share, to Mary E. Shaw one share, to Josiah Howard Beatty one share, to Lula Olive
Barnhart one share, to James D. Beatty one share.
14. I hereby direct my executors to sell and convey any part or all of my real estate at
any time they deem it best for the interest of my estate. However, it is my desire that the
surface of the home farm be kept intact as a home for my wife and grandson, Albert
Leroy Beatty, and that the proceeds of said surface be appropriated to their use during
the term of her natural life, and my executors shall have power to make, execute, and
deliver a deed or deeds of conveyance to the purchaser or purchasers of said real estate.
I do hereby make, constitute and appoint my son, Robert N. Beatty, and my daughter,
Berdetta Beatty, to be executors of this, my last will and testament.
In witness whereof, I, James A. Beatty, the testor above named, have hereunto
subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 18th day of June in the year of our Lord,
One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty FourJames A. Beatty
Signed, sealed, published ,and delivered by the above named James A. Beatty as and for
his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our
names at his request as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said testator and each
other.

James A. Beatty died at 2:40 AM January 15, 1925 as testified by Berdetta Beatty.
