Will of George Mardis of Brush Valley Township, Indiana County,
Pennsylvania, probated 24 March 1845.

In the Name of God Aman I Georg Mardis of Brushvally Township Indiana
County and State of Pennsylvania Beaing weak in body but of sound mind
and mimry blesed be to God for the same. I do meak and publish this my
last Will and testament now is following that is to say first I give and
bequieth unto my beloved wife Eave Mardis the us of the hole of my Estate
for her support as to say my house and Lot and all my other property to
be Ceep togeather for her Support as long as she shall remain my widow
and if she shall marry or die the remender of my Estate to be divied
among my hears as follow I first give and bequeath unto David Mardis the
Stove and I give and bequeath to Mary Ann Mardis my grand dater the sum
of ten Dollars to be paid out of my Estate and I give and bequeath unto
William Reed the one third of my Estate and I give bequieth unto Thomas
Slopel the Resadue of my Estat and hit is my Will that my Wife Eave have
one Beed and Bewrough to mak hur one us of hit to give to her one
Children after my just debt and funereal Expences is paid I do hereby
oather is and apoint my true and trusty friend James Stewart Maj my
lawfull Exeecutor of this my last will and testament in Witness whereof I
have hereunto seat my hand and seal the twentyeth day of December in the
year of Our Lord one thousend Eight hundred and forty four.

Indiana County SS. Be it remembered that on the twenty fourth day of
March AD 1845 before me William McClaran Jr Register for the Probate of
Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for said County was
duly proved and approved the foregoing as and for the last Will and
testament of George Mardis late of said County decd by the Oaths of
William Loughry and Wm. Smith the subscribing witnesses thereto same day
Letters Testamentary issued to the Executor in said Will named who was
first duly sworn.
