Harold E. Andrews, 80, of Youngwood died Saturday, March 16, 1996, in
Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Nov. 5, 1915, in
Kecksburg, a son of the late W. Clifford and Marjorie Rose Andrews. He was
retired from Tele-dyne Vasco near Latrobe. He was a member of First Trinity
United Church of Christ, Youngwood, and an elder emeritus of the church, past
master and charter member of Unity Grange 2002 and member of the Loyalhanna
Lodge 275 F&AM, Latrobe, Thomas B. Anderson Royal Arch Chapter 309, the Kedron
Commandry 18, the Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh and Caravan 8 of the Shrine, and
Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Westmoreland Forest 77. Besides his parents, he was
preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mary Gaut Andrews, and his second
wife, Henrietta McKelvey Andrews. He is survived by his wife, Gall Armbrust
Hurst Andrews; a daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Rosemary) Van Norden of Vienna, Va.; a
son, Dr. Harold E. Jr. (and his wife, Elaine) of Kittanning; four grandchildren;
two brothers, William (and his wife, Beverly) of Scottdale and Edward F. (and
his wife, Thelma) of Mount Pleasant RD 2; two sisters, Marie Ong of Greensburg
and Mrs. Clarence (Doris) Thomas of Greensburg RD 5; a step-son, Edwin C. Hurst
(and his wife, Brenda) of Greensburg RD 11; a step-daughter, Mrs. Rich (Donna M)
Penrose, of New Florence RD 1, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Monday In C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc., Youngwood, where service
will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Janice A. Kimball and the
Rev. J.M. Kim co-officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity
Township.
