George Brosnick, 73, of Latrobe RR 4 died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Allegheny
General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 20, 1926, in Derry, he was a son of the
late Andrew and Jennie E. (Marol) Brosnick. He was a member of Sacred Heart
Church, Youngstown. A World War II veteran, he had served in the U. S. Army, and
was a member of Thomas B. Anderson American Legion Post 515, Latrobe. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Amole
and Helen Nagel; two brothers, Andrew Jr. and Joseph; a niece, Dana Noel, and a
nephew, Curtis Cackowski. He is survived by his wife, Betty Peipock Brosnick;
three sons, Thomas (and his wife, Jane) of North Huntingdon, William (and his
wife, Marsha) of Greeneville, Tenn., and John (and his fiancee, Sandy Wolf) of
Latrobe; two daughters, Mary Ann Kisic (and her husband, Joseph) of Derry and
Betty Wass (and her husband, Louis) of Greensburg; three brothers, Paul of
Latrobe, Albert and William, both of Luxor; four sisters, Mary Johnson of
Taylor, Mich., Irene Noel (and her husband, John "Jack"), Evelyn Cackowski and
Pauline Tometsko (and her husband, William), all of Greensburg; four
grandchildren, Jason, Michael and Cory Brosnick and Jesse Kisic; a step-
granddaughter, Amanda Wolf, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were
received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc.,
601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in Sacred
Heart Church, Youngstown, by the Rev. Chad Ficorilli, OSB. Interment was
private. Military service was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sacred
Heart Church, Box 328 Main Street, Youngstown, PA 15696.
