Betty P. Brosnick, 88, of Latrobe died Friday, April 3, 2009, in Excela Health
Latrobe Hospital. Born April 20, 1920, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the
late Michael and Anna M. (Cokota) Peipock. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart
Church, Youngstown, and had been retired from Latrobe Brewing Co. Besides her
parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George Brosnick; three
brothers, Joseph Peipock, Stephen and Andrew Peipock, and five sisters, Mary
Rozinsky, Anna Murphy, Sophie Arnold, Susan Pavlocak and Helen Petraglia. She is
survived by three sons, Thomas Brosnick and wife, Jane, of North Huntingdon
Township, William Brosnick and wife, Marsha, of Greenville, Tenn., and John
Brosnick of Latrobe; two daughters, Mary Ann Kisic and husband, Joseph, of Deny
and Betty Wass and husband, Louis, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Jason,
Michael and Cory Brosnick and Jesse Kisic; a great-granddaughter, Logan, and a
number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9
p.m. Sunday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A
funeral Mass was celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown,
with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, as celebrant. Interment was in St.
Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.
