Bodner, 79, of Latrobe, died Monday, Aug. 12, 1996, at his home. Born Oct. 7, 1916, in Reynoldsville, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Sofko) Bodner. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church In Youngstown; a retiree from LD Construction; a veteran of World War II, having served in U. S. Army, and a member of Thomas B. Anderson American Legion Post 515, VFW Post 3414, FOE Aerie 01188 and BPOE Lodge 907, all of Latrobe, and Jednota Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Stephen, and two sisters, Anne Crago and Virginia Bodner. Surviving are his wife, Ruth A. Lundquist Bodner; two sons, Jack E., at home, and Charles M. of Latrobe; a daughter, Kristine A. Bodner of San Clemente, Calif.; two brothers, Joseph of Long Island, N. Y., and Edward of Latrobe, and three sisters, Margaret Stepanic of Lakeland, Fla., Frances Malloy of Latrobe and Irene lannuzzi of Ellicott City, Md. Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral mass will be celebrated at noon Friday in Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown, with the Rev. Aelred J. Beck, OSB, as celebrant. Interment will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township. BPOE Lodge 907 will hold a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. FOE Aerie 01188 will hold a service at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
