Mrs. Carol J. Schmucker Bialas, 37, of Derry R.D.2 died Saturday in Latrobe Area
Hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1939, in Somerset, a daughter of John Schmucker
of Jennerstown and the late Mildred Burkey Schmucker. In addition to her father,
she is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Bialas Sr.; two sons, Joseph J. Jr. of
Blairsville and Thomas, at home; two daughters, Susan and Tricia, both at home,
and six sisters, Mrs. Carlos (Delores) Garcia, Mrs. George (Nancy) Campbell and
Mrs. Johnnie (Kay) Myer, all of Ohio, Mrs. Paul (Patricia) Schellner of New
Jersey, Mrs. Michael (Mabel) Abbaszadeh of California and Mrs. Charlene London
of Recton, Va. Visitation was held in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe,
Sunday and Monday. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in
St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry. Interment will follow in St. Mary
Cemetery, Latrobe.
