  3 Obituary articles follow:

  1) William Henry Landis (from Daily Pottstown Ledger):
  William Henry Landis died Friday afternoon at the home of his son, George K. 
  Landis, in Lower Pottsgrove township of ailments incident to old age. Deceased 
  was 79 years, 8 months, and 28 days. Mr. Landis was born in Kenilworth in 1877? 
  [sic - 1837].  He resided in Chester County for a number of years and later 
  moved to Reading. Two years ago, he moved from Reading to the home 
  of his son.  By trade he was a carpenter. Besides his widow and his son, with 
  whom he resided, there is another son, John F. at home.  Mrs. Ira Holsopple of 
  Kenilworth, is a niece. The late Mrs. Edwin John, of Kenilworth, who died two 
  years ago, was a sister of  Mr. Landis. (His sister Mary Ann (Landis) John had 
  died Jan 1916.]
  The funeral will be held next Tuesday morning at ten o'clock and interment at 
  Mt. Zion cemetery.
  
  2) The Pottstown News; Saturday 4/21/1917, pg 7
  From a complications of diseases incident to old age, William Henry Landis, 
  died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of 
  his son George K Landis in Lower Pottsgrove Twp.  The deceased was 79 years, 8 
  months and 28 days.
  Mr. Landis was a native of Chester County, having been born in 
  Kenilworth in 1837.  He resided in Chester County for a number of 
  years, and later moved to Reading.  Two years ago he moved from Reading to the 
  home of his son.  By  trade he was a carpenter.  Besides his widow and son 
  whom  he lived with, there is another son, John F., at home.  Mrs. Ira 
  Holsopple, of Kenilsworth, is his niece.  The late Mrs. Edwin John of 
  Kenilwoth, who died only two years ago was his sister.
  The funeral will be held next Tuesday morning at 10 c'clock from the home of 
  his son and interment will be in Mt Zion Cemetery.
  
  3) Pottstown News 4/25/1917, p 3:
  Funeral took place yesterday at 10 o'clock at home of George K Landis, Lower 
  Pottsgrove.
  All service at the house.
  Rev. L. K. Evans, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Reformed Church.
  Pall barrers: William JOHN, Edward JOHN, Harvey JOHN, Norman JOHN - all nephews 
  of the deceased.    J. M. Manger in charge.

  native of Chester Co., and son of Daniel Landis and Elizabeth Jones of Warwick
