Wedding Announcement

     Mr. And Mrs. Matthew B. Markland of Atlantic City, N. J. announce the 
marriage of their daughter, Lillian Nelson to Mr. Irving Prentiss Van Sant, 
son of Mr. Warren Van Sant of Greensboro, Md.
     The ceremony was performed by D. John Rollins (sic.Robbins)Hart, Chaplain 
at Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge, Pa., on May 30, 1941 at four 
p.m.
     The bride's wedding gown was of egg yolk satin with slippers to match.  
She wore a finger-tip veil and carried a gardenia corsage on a prayer book.  
Mrs. James W. Dunn, the bride's sister, who was matron of honor was dressed in 
yellow chiffon and wore a picture hat.  She carried a bouquet of yellow roses 
and blue delphinium.
     The groom wore striped trousers with a cutaway coat, and was attended by 
his brother, Mr. Comegys Van Sant, as best man.
     The reception, which was held at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. John 
H. Muller, of Secane, Pa. was attended by fifty guests.  Among those present 
were:
     Mr. and Mrs. Matthew B. Markland, Mrs. H. Grey Steele, Mrs. John H. 
Muller, Dr. and Mrs. James W. Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. Francis S. Markland, Mr. 
Warren Van Sant, Mr. and Mrs. Bayard Van Sant, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hyland Van Sant 
and Mrs. Comegys Van Sant.
