In The Name of God Amen  the twenty first day
of April in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and 
eighty Six I Jacob Zimmerman of Frederick County in the State
of Maryland am weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory
Blessed be God to this day Therefore calling unto mind the 
mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for 
all men once to die I therefore make and ordain this my
last will and Testament  that is to say Principally and first
of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of 
God who gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be
Buryed in a Christian like manner not Doubting but to 
the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the
mighty power of God and as Touching such Worldly Estate
wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give
Devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and
form                In primis it is my Will and I do order that
in the first place all my Just Debts and funeral charges be
paid and Satisfied                Item I give and bequeath unto
Lea my Dearly beloved Wife all my Estate both real and personal
except Ten Pounds which Sum of ten pounds is to be paid to 
my son John Zimmerman after the Decease of my Wife Lea
and not Sooner so that my Wife Lea may Buy and Sell and
live thereon unmolested unto from or by her son John or 
any other person Whatsoever           And afterwards the remainder
after her Decease I give her my Wife the full power to Leave
That to Whom she Pleases and it is Particular my last will
That my son John shall not become her of no more than
the above mentioned Sum of ten pounds and that for those 
reason while he never used me and my Wife as a Child
Should do and for such Reasons I leave the whole in my Wifes
Hands that according as he will use her his Mother for the 
further days which she shall live she has it in her Power
to Leave what is left either to him or his children And I do
hereby Utterly Disallow Revoke and Disannul all and any
other former Testaments Wills Legacies and Executors before
this time named Willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming
This and no other to be my last Will and Testament  In 
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day
and year above written

Frederick County Dec'r 1st 1795 then came Andrew Low one of the
Subscribing Witnesses to the aforegoing last Will and Testament of
Jacob Zimmerman late of Frederick County Deceased and made Oath
on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that he did see the Testator
therein named Sign & Seal this Will that he heard him publish
pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament
that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of his
apprehension of a Sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding the he Subscribed his name as a Witness to this
Will in the presence and at the request of the Testator and that
he did also see John Guyor & Georgs Gotzomannor Subscribe
their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence and at the 
request of the Testator and all in the presence of each other
