Will of Jacob Sydeman (original form of name Johann Jacob Seidemann) from 
Maryland Hall of Records Commission.

"In the name of God Amen I Jacob Sydeman of Frederick County and province of 
Maryland being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do make and 
ordain this my last will and testament. First of all I commit my soul to God who 
gave it and my body to the earth from whence it came to be buried in christ's 
like and decent manner at the designation of my exe. And [illegible].

Item I give to well beloved wife Margareit my black mare side saddle and two 
cows and one third part of all the remainder of my personal estate and give the 
whole of my lands during the time she remains my widow and one third part during 
her natural life. 


Item I give and bequeath to my two daughters namely Catherine and Margareit all 
the remainder of my personal estate to be equally divided between them to be 
delivered or paid to them severally by my exe. when they come of age or marry 
and also my lands to be equally divided between the said Catherine and Margareit 
when the time for which I have given said lands to my above said wife expired. 
And lastly I do nominate my brother Peter Beard to be the sole executor of my 
last will and testament in witness whereof I do [illegible]my bond and seal this 
first day of February anno dominae one thousand seven hundred and sixty four."
