Be it Remembered That I Jacob Snider of Frederick County and State of Maryland 
being in a Weak State of Body but of Perfect mind & memory and calling to mind 
the uncertainty of this life and knowing that it is appointed for all men once 
to Die Do make and Ordain this my last will and Testament in the following 
manner and form to wit
First I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Margaret Snider all my Estate 
both real and Personal of whatever kind for her use during her life only she 
Paying and Settling all my Just Debts-- out of it in case there should be any -- 
and at her Death it is my will and desire that my son Jacob Snider Shall have 
twenty five pounds paid him out of my Estate to him his heirs and Assigns 
forever and that my Daughter Mary Fair Shall have Fifteen pounds paid her out of 
my Estate to her her heirs and Assigns forever which Sums they are to receive 
before the Division of the remainder of my Estate shall be Divided and they are 
to come in for an Equal Shear with the rest of my Children hereafter named-- for 
the remainder part of my Estate --
Second I give and bequeath all the remainder part of my Estate after the above 
Willed are Settled and after the Death of my Wife -- in the following manner to 
be equally Divided between all my children and two Grand Children to have one 
Shear with my children to them their heirs and Assigns forever (to wit) Jacob 
Snider, Mary Fair, Cathrine Wistler, Margaret Bear, Lawrence Snider, Abraham 
Snider, Michael Snider and Christian Snider and my two Grand Children Jacob 
Snider and Matilda Basend which said two Grand Children has only one Childs part 
between them, and it is my will and desire that my Executor shall sell at Public 
Sale all and every part of my Estate both real and personal at the Death of my 
Wife -- and pay each one their part, except there should be some Articles that 
any one should choose to Take in Discharge of their part which my Executor may 
let them have as he may think proper -- I appoint my son Jacob Snider Executor 
of this my last will and Testament and full Impower him to sell and convey by a 
Good & Deed or Lease my Lotts and Premisses in the Town of Newmarket Frederick 
County which shall be as good to all intents & purposes as tho I had actually 
done the same while living and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and Disannul 
all and every other former Testament Will Legacies bequeaths and Executors by me 
in any way before named Willed bequeathed ratifying and comfirming this and no 
other to be my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand & Seal this fifteenth day of April Eighteen Hundred --

Signed Sealed Published Pronounced and Declared by the said Jacob Snider as his 
last Will & Testament in the Presence of us who in his Presence and the Presence 
of each other have hereunto subscribed our names

Frederick County August 6th 1800 Then came John Stephen Hall & George Smith two 
of the Subscribing Witnesses to the aforegoing last will and Testament of Jacob 
Snider Late of Frederick County Deceased and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of 
Almighty God that they did see the Testator therein named Sign and seal this 
will that they heard him Publish Pronounce and Declare the same to be his last 
will and Testment that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their 
Apprehension of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding that they 
respectively subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence 
and at the request of the Testator And that they did also see William Ballinger 
the other subscribing Witness sign his name as a Witness to said Will in the 
presence and at the request of the Testator and all in the Presence of each 
other --George Murdock Regr.
