OBITUARY: Marian (Brown) Frazier, Worth County, Iowa Marian Brown Frazier #1 [The Northwood Anchor posted October 08, 2002] Marian Frazier, 67, Northwood, died Oct. 7, 2002, at her residence in rural Northwood. Funeral service will be Thursday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church, 905 Fairlane Terrace, Albert Lea, MN. Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood. Other arrangements are pending at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood. A complete obituary will appear in next week's paper. #2 [The Northwood Anchor online - posted October 15, 2002] Marian Frazier, 67, Northwood, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at her home. Funeral services were Thursday at Faith Baptist Church, Albert Lea with Pastor Dennis Seiler officiating. Marian was born in Hurley, IA, on Feb. 2, 1935, the daughter of Levi and Berniece (Bird) Brown. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at Bible Camp at the age of 14. She graduated from Mason City High School and obtained her teaching certificate from Mason City Junior College. She married Leonard Frazier on June 18, 1955 in Mason City. After a few years in Florida and Georgia, where Leonard was stationed in the Navy, they moved to rural Northwood in 1957. She loved her life on the farm, being outdoors, caring for her flowers, gardening and canning and taking care of her family. She was very involved in the ministries of the church including teaching Sunday School, Bible studies, Bible School, singing, artwork and loved taking pictures of every occasion. She had the gift of encouragement to the many peoplethat her life touched. Her life was lived for the glory of the Lord. Survivors include her husband, Leonard, and her six children, Kathy Watney and her husband, Gary, and children, Amber and Sarah, Albert Lea, MN, Brenda Higgins and her husband, Jeff, of Eden Prairie, MN, Jane Frazier and her daughter, Hannah of Oakdale, MN, Carolyn Park and her husband, Danny, and children, Lindsay and Jamie of Blooming Prairie, MN, Mark Frazier and his wife, Jane, and children, John, Justin, Jessica and Jared of Rogers, MN, Laura Timmerman and her husband, Troy and son, Spenser, of Blue Earth, MN; three sisters, Janet Sellick and her husband, Brent of South San Francisco, CA, Margaret Hulst and her husband, Allister of Waltham, MN, Bonnie Peterson and her husband, Vernon of Forest City and her brother, Robert Brown and his wife Becky of Elkhart, IN and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Rev. James Brown and his wife, Laveen. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
