OBITUARY: Robert J. Ericksen, Worth County, Iowa

        Robert J. Ericksen, 63, services held in Glenville

Funeral services for Robert J. Ericksen, 63, Glenville, were held Thursday,
at First Lutheran Church in Glenville. Rev. Mark Wendland officiated.

Robert died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. Robert J.
Ericksen was born Nov. 22, 1937, to Nels and Ebba (Hanson) Ericksen in
Freeborn County. The family lived on a farm by Marine Point until Robert
was nine-years-old and then moved to a farm  in rural Glenville. He was
baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. He graduated
from Albert Lea High School in 1955.

On Oct. 20, 1956 he married Ramona Leah Sanderson at First Lutheran Church
in Glenville. Robert was a farmer all his life and raised his family on the
rural Glenville farm. He also drove school bus the first year Glenville  had
school buses, surveyed land for the ASCS office, drove milk truck from 1959
for four years, was a crop adjuster for North Central Crop Ins., and drove
trucks hauling bituminous material. Robert was a member of First Lutheran
Church in Glenville and the Elks Lodge in Albert Lea.

Survivors include his wife Mona of Glenville; son Clark and wife Debra and
their children Luke and Vicki, Brooke, Becky and Jon and great-grandchildren
Cherysh, Jade and Destiny; daughter Dawn Kaasa and husband Tim and their
children Kellen, Taryn and Devin; sisters, Esther Nelson and her husband
Richard of Glenville, Marian Hanson and husband Albert of Glenville, Ann
Pavlian and husband Peter of San Diego, CA and Audrey Olson and husband
Marvyn of Edmond, OK; brother, Virgil Ericksen and wife Carol of New
Orleans, LA; mother and father-in-law Leon and Burnette Sanderson of
Glenville; sister-in-law Pauline Kohnke and husband John and many nieces,
nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
