OBITUARY: Caroline O. Bjorlie, Worth County, Iowa


Mrs. Caroline O. Bjorlie (80) oldest living native born pioneer of Worth
Co. died (1937).  While working outdoors, she sank unto such deep snow,
she was unable to get out.  Her little grandniece, Jeannette Halvorson,
on her way to school, saw her and called for aid.  The exertion of her
extreme effort to free herself was too much and she developed a high
fever which caused her death three days later.

She is survived by five children:  Mrs. Albert Hauge, Lake Mills; L.O.
Bjorlie, Emmons; Mrs. Stenno Severson, Valley Springs, SD; Sigrid Bjorlie,
Albert Lea and Rev. H.O. Bjorlie, Fairbault, MN and a number of grandchildren.
The funeral was held at Silver Lake, with Rev. Casper Fjelstul officiating.
