OBITUARY: Ragnild Bergo, Worth County, Iowa

Ragnild Bergo (94) was born in Hallingdal, Norway on December 3, 1848 to
Knute and Margit Myre.  She was baptized and confirmed in Norway and
came to America with her parents in 1865 to Worth Co.   She married Ole
T. Bergo on May 23, 1868 and they lived on the Silver Lake parsonage
farm.  Mr. Bergo entered the army on December 25, 1863 and was a Civil
War vet.  He died September 15, 1895.  Mrs. Bergo continued to farm many
years.  She died March 24, 1943.

Three children preceded her in death, Margaret, Tom and Amos.  She is
survived by seven children, Mrs. Mary Onsager, Mrs. Lena Monson, Knut
Bergo and Mrs. Bella Peterson, Lake Mills; Andrew Bergo, Minneapolis and
Henry Bergo, Wells, MN; 37 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and
4 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at Sion, with Rev. O.C. Helleckson in charge and
burial in the Silver Lake Cemetery.
