OBITUARY: Waldemar "Wally" F. Anderson, Worth County, Iowa

Funeral service for Waldemar "Wally" F. Anderson, 79, were held Friday at
Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Henriksen officiated and
burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Wally died on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at the Albert Lea Medical Center,
Albert Lea.

He was born in Worth County, Iowa, on Aug. 10, 1923, the son of Bert and
Matilda (Erickson) Anderson. He attended country school near Lake Mills.
Before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps, Wally served with the CCC
(Citizens Conservation Corps).

On July 31, 1949, Wally married Lorna Flo in Roundup, MT. They were members
of Grace Lutheran Church where Wally had been active as an usher and money
counter. He worked as a truck driver and as custodian at Halvorson School
Dist. #241.

Wally was a member of the Albert Lea American Legion and the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Lorna of Albert Lea; sister, Elnora Willand
of Northwood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlo (Hilma) Flo of Bricelyn,
Ronald Flo of Kensett, Mavis (Marlin) Flo of Albert Lea, Glorian Kennedy
of Albert Lea, Harry (JoAnn) Green of Albert Lea, Donna Arneson of
Scottsdale, AZ, Dale (Barbara) Flo of LeSueur, Norma Anderson of Lake Mills,
Martha Anderson of Albert Lea and Hazel Anderson of Hollandale and many
nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Art, Malman, Bill
and Adrian Anderson and one sister, Rosciela Hagenson.
