MOORE-SWARTZEL.

The little town of Milroy, Mifflin county, was the scene of a very
brilliant wedding on Wednesday last, it being the occasion of the marriage of
Samuel T. Moore, of Rochester, N.Y., and Miss Annie M. Swartzel, daughter of
Mr. Andrew S. Swartzel, of Milroy. The ceremony was performed at 7.30
o'clock in the evening, and Rev. J. W. White, of that place, officiated, the
marriage taking place at the residence of the bride's parents. The
attendants were Mr. Howard, of the firm of Kingsley & Co., Rochester, N.Y.,
and Miss White, of Pittsburgh. The bridal party were preceded by the ushers,
and these by two nephews of the groom - Masters J. Moore and Roy B. Delo -
these two young gentlemen bearing each a basket of beautiful flowers. There
were two hundred guests present, and among them quite a number from a
distance. Among these latter were Mr. C. W. Moore and wife, Mr. D. R. Moore,
of this city; Mr. J. P. Stewart and wife, and Miss Annie Moore, of
Hollidaysburg; Mr. T. B. Delo, wife and two sons, of Elmira, N.Y. An
excellent supper had been prepared for the guests, which quickly disappeared
before the combined attack of those who partook of it. Mr. and Mrs. Moore
were the recipients of a large number of useful and handsome presents. Mr.
Moore is employed in the large hardware firm of Hamilton & Matthews, of
Rochester, N.Y., and enjoys the confidence of the members of the firm. He is
fortunate in securing such an excellent young lady as his partner through
life. The happy couple took no extended tour, but departed for Rochester,
which city they will make their future home.
