Wife Sarah, sons Rickey, Samuel, David, daughters Margaret, Martha, Jane
(eldest), Elizabeth and Sarah.

In the name of God Amen. I James Henderson of Derry Township, Mifflin County, 
being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory - Blised be the 
Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and Testament in 
mainer and form following (that is to say) First I bequeath unto my beloved wife 
Sarah Henderson her choice of the best cow and calf also a eue and lambs of the 
best of the Flock I do alow my stock to be put to vendee Next June as follows-- 
Cows Calfs Sheep and a Horse Likewise I do further allow my land laying and 
being Situated on the South Side of Jacks Creek Containing one hundred and 
ninety acres be the same more or less to be put to sale also and the highest 
bider shall be the Purchaser and after all my stock and the aforesaid land is 
desposed of by public or private sale which be to the best advantage and the 
several sums ________out of that principle sum I alow a house to be raised on 
the land I now live on being the property of Rob Chambers of Cumberland County 
which I am ablidged _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ a _____ log house 28 ft by 22 
feet and two stories high 1st 8 feet high, 2nd seven and half with two floors 
and shingled roof with two 12 light windows & a common door & after the house is 
compleated according to the above dimensions of which expence is to be taken out 
of the Vendue Money, first the remainder part follows to be put to Interest. The 
In's of which I allow to be taken for the support of my wife & four youngest 
children (viz) Saml, Margaret, Martha & David untill each of them reaches the 
age of twelve years the sum afs mentioned put to In's to be equally devided 
amongest my wife Sarah and my eight children (viz) My oldest daughter Jane, 
Elizabeth, Sarah, Richey, Saml, Margaret, Martha, & David each one to have an 
equal proporhonable part with my Wife Sarah also no one shall draw any of the 
principal untill each of them reaches to the age of twenty years and further 
each one of the 8 children shall draw their equal Quotas of the In's after the 
youngest reaches the age of ten years. If further insert on my will that 
admitting my wife should choose to change her life and mary another husband and 
not do a parents duty by them they are to be taken from her and put in a place 
where they may be treated with Humanity & Christenty and further I allow all of 
the full grain now in the ground to be put to vendee with the rest of my small 
Effects all my household furniture I have and bequeath to the use of my wife and 
children my best suit of clothes I bequeath to my oldest son Richey.I do here by 
appoint & claim my wife Sarah Executrise & Robert Hunter Execuitor of this last 
will and testament hereby revoaking all former wills by me made. In witness 
where of I have here unto let my _____ _____ Seal this 30 Day of November in the 
year of our Lord Seventeen Hundred & Ninety five.

Before me Edward W Carty, Dep Register for the probate of wills and granting 
Letters of Administration in and for the County of Mifflin. in the Commonwealth 
of Pennsylvania. Appeared James Chriswell and Robert Hunter, the subscribing 
witnesses to the written Testrument of writing and being duly sworn according to 
Law, do say that they have seen James Henderson, the Testator within named sign 
his name and affisc his seal hereto publish pronownce and declars the same, as 
and for his last wiled Testament, that the said Testator was sound and disposing 
Mind and Memory (as they believed) and that they wrote their names as Witness as 
thereto, respectively, in the presence of the Testator, at his request, and in 
the presence of each other Sworn, Subscribed James Chriswell, Decemb 16th 1795

Before Me, Edwd W Carty Dep Reg You Sarah Henderson and Robart Hunter Exrrs of 
the last Will of  Testament of James Henderson Decesd. Do swear that wile will 
and truly administer the Goods of Chattels, Rights of Credits, which were of the 
said James Henderson Decd that you wile make a true and perfect Inventory 
thereof & exchibit the sames unto Regeaters office in Lewistown, in three months 
from this time, and that you will render a just and true account calculation in 
One year from this time, or when there unto lawfully required.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the Sheriff of Mifflin County Greeting
We Command you that you Summon Sarah Hendreson & Robert Hunter Exrs of the 
Estate of James Henderson dicd late of Derry Township.

So that they be and appear before our Judges at Lewistown at an Orphans
Court there to be held for the said County on the third Monday of a November
next to _____ _____ if any they have why their ______ account of the Estate of
the Said deceased should not be settled according to Law.

Witness Jonathan Walker Esquire at Lewistown the 21st day of August in
the year of our Lord 1806.
