  BREVITIES
  
   - Charles M. Simmonds, a former well known resident of this city, died 
  at Sharon Thursday, aged 48 years.  Deceased leaves a wife and 
  daughter, three brothers and a sister to survive him.  W. H. Simmonds, 
  of this city, is one of the brothers.  He will leave today to attend 
  the funeral.
