  Cut His Throat and Died.

SHARON, Pa., Sept. 9. - Findlay Gitson borrowed a knife from his
companion on the street, cut his throat and died. Gitson informed on
three liquor dealers in Sharon last week for selling liquor to his
minor son. The case was to have come up Saturday morning. Walter
Porterfield, the principal witness for the prosecution, was killed by
the cars Wednesday, and Gitson, fearing he would lose the suit,
committed suicide. He was 53 years old and a prominent citizen.
