Will of David Kitch

        In the name of God, Amen.  I, David Kitch of the township of Salem,
Mercer County, Pennsylvania, being of good health of body and of sound and
disposing mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and
testament.
        Item (1) I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Elizabeth one
half of all my personal property.  And the use of all of it during her
natural lifetime.  And also one third part of the rents and profits of all
my real estate.
        Item (2) I give and bequeath in fee simple subject to the bequest
made to my wife, and also to the bequests herein afterwards specified
seventy acres of my real estate situate as afore said on the township of
Salem fifty acres with the allowance to be taken from the North end of my
farm and remaining twenty acres from South end without allowance to my
Grandsons Children of William Kitch, Samuel, Josiah and Martin in equal
shares.
        Item (3) I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter in law Fannie,
wife of my son William Kitch, deceased, the use, occupation, rents issued of
my farm in Salem Tp., subject to the bequest made to my loved wife, to wit -
One hundred and twenty five acres, the portion left- or supposed to be
left - after taking therefrom the seventy acres bequeathed to my
grandchildren before named.  And after the decease of my said daughter in
law to become in fee simple the property (in equal shares) of my
grandchildren the heirs of the body of my son William and his wife Fanny to
wit - Samuel, Josiah, Martin, John William, Maria and D Anderson.
        Item (4) I give and bequeath to my son David the sum of One Hundred
and Ninety dollars to be charged upon the seventy acres bequeathed to my
grandsons Samuel, Joseph and Martin and to be paid by them.
        Item (5) I give and bequeath to my grandson David, son of my son
Martin the sum of twenty five dollars in like manner a charge upon the lands
bequeathed to my grandsons Samuel, Josiah and Martin to be paid by them.
        Item (6) It is also my will that the expenses of my and my wifes
last sickness and our funeral expenses be paid by my grandsons, Samuel,
Josiah and Martin and is hereby constituted a charge upon the lands
bequeathed to them.
        Item (7) It is my will that at the decease of my beloved wife all
the personal property then remaining shall be sold at public sale at auction
after due notice given by my executor and the preoceeds after paying the
expenses of such sale be paid to my sons Jacob, David and Joseph.
        Item 8  I do hereby nominate and appoint Robert Clark and Joseph
Kitch of Salem Tp., County and State aforesaid, executors of this my last
will
        Item 9  Revoking all other wills made by me and declare this to be
my last will and testament in witness I have hereto set my hand and seal
this 8th day of October 1849.
