  PISTOL WOUND FATAL TO MATTHEW OSTRANDER
     Port Allegany, October 26Matthew Ostrander, thirty-four years old, who was 
  accidentally shot here on October 13, passed away at the Port Allegany 
  Hospital Sunday morning at four o'clock.
     Mr. Ostrander was accidentally shot with a revolver which was being 
  demonstrated to him by his brother-in-law. The bullet passed through the lower 
  part of his lung and lodged in his spine.
     For several years, Mr. Ostrander had been a brakeman on the Pennsylvania 
  Railroad. He is survived by his wife and three children and his parents, Mr. 
  and Mrs. John Ostrander.
     Deceased is a cousin of Dr. W. A. Ostrander of Smethport.
     Funeral services were held at the Grimes Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 
  o'clock, the Rev. C. B. Kinney, pastor of the U. B. Church, officiating.
