  Death of Otto Albert Wentz

Otto Albert Wentz, son of Albert Wentz, and grandson of Edward Wentz, died in
the Jersey Shore Hospital Friday, May 2d. He had been operated on for
appendicitis about 6 week previous, but after his death a post mortem was held
and it was discovered he had died of an ulcer of the stomach, which had been
troubling him for several years but not enough to cause any anxiety. He bore
his sickness patiently and was very hopeful till near the end, and when he saw
he couldn't live he said he didn't want to part with this life, but if it was
God's will he was ready to go. He then turned over and said he was going to
Jesus and bade his parents and nurse goodby.

The funeral was held Monday at 2 o'clock at Phelp's Chapel and was very largely
attended, there being over 300 people present on account of his many friends, he
being so well known. The services were conducted by Rev. Taylor, of Phelp's
Chapel, and Rev. Glass, of Epworth M. E. Church, Jersey Shore, and were very
sympathetic on account of his noble and pure life. There was an abundance of
flowers which were brought by his friend and Sunday schools and classes which he
was attending, also the City Band of Avis, of which he was a member. He is
survived by his father and mother and brothers Clifford, at home, and Herman, of
  New York City.

Otto was a boy with many friends and his death will bring sorrow to many hearts.
