Zechariah Tindall made his will and signed it on 11 Dec 1852 some 27 years
before his death. He was only 50 and must have had a sick spell. He obviously
did not re-make the will since this one was proved in Nov 1879. (Will Book#3,
page 228) He did not write the will since he could only make his mark; but by
the sound of it he did dictate it to someone. The writers spelling is less
than perfect but I will quote it as is:

  "In the name of God Amen. I Zacharia Tindil of the Township of Shenango
County of Lawrence State of Pennsylvania weak in body but sound in mind
memory and understanding praised be to God for the same do make this my last
will and testament in manner and form following. I Give devise & bequeath
that my funeral expenses and all just Debts be fully paid. first I will give
& devise & bequeath unto my wife Eagnis Tindell her lif Thirty Ackers of land
on the north weast coarner of the Place that I now live on to take in the
house and oarchird & Juley Ann Tindell my youngest Daughter is to raised by
the means I have bequeathed to my wife & after the Death of my wife Eagnis
Tindell I will that the afoarsaid land shall be soald and equally devided
with my children or thair airs or asines & I give and bequeath unto my wife
all the moavabels She brought hear & one Hundre Dollars of the remaining Part
of my Propperty to suport her the first year I will & devise that the
remaining part of my farm shall be soald after my Moathers Death & I will
that after my Death that my Two acker lott Part of the Brown Track shall be
soald lying in the Township afoarsaid & and also Eighty Ackers of land in the
State of Ohio Vanwort County with all my goads & chattels 2 I will & devise &
bequeath to my Eleaven children an Equal devide of all my propperty by Paying
my five children unmaried Fifty Dollars Each one moar for an outfitt and I
nominate constitute and appoint my Sun William Tindel & John Wallace
Exicutors of this my last will and Testament and do Declare this to be my
last will and testament In witnefs whearof I the said Zacaria Tindell have
hereunto set my hand and seal this Eleaventh Day of December Eighteen hundrit
& fifty Two

The witnesses were Charles Morrow & Jacob Conner but it was proved by
certification of Jacob Conner and John Wallace who swore he saw Zechariah
make his mark as well as Charles Morrow sign the document.

The Lawrence Guardian of 14 Nov 1879, page 2, col. 6, reported under "Died",
"TYNDALL.- Nov. 11, 1879, at his residence in Shenango Tp., Zachariah
Tyndall, aged 78 years."
