Elizabeth (Jordan) Tindall, the wife of William Tindall, died 20 Nov 1852.
She was buried in the old Tindall graveyard, now abandoned, which was
adjacent to her house on Sand Bank Rd. about a mile and a half south east of
the village of West Pittsburgh. Her grave stone stood next to that of her
husband but after the cemetery was abandoned it was vandalized and the stone
has been lost.  She made her will 18 Feb 1852 and it was proven 23 Nov 1852.
(Will Book#1, page 118-9) It reads: (Punctuation added)

"In the name of God Amen. I, Elizabeth Tindle, of the County of Lawrence in
the State of Pennsylvania, spinster, being weak in body and of sound mind
memory and understanding, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory
life, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form
following. to wit: First it is my will and I do order that all my just debts
and funeral expenses be paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be
after my decease. Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Palmer, my
cupboard, one iron pot, one scillet, one gridiron, one pewter dish, one
vinegar keg, one pickling tub, one tea kettle and one fire shovel also my
Cow. Item: I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Elizabeth McConnel, my
small cupboard, one stew kettle, one gridiron, one hatchet. Item: I give and
bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah Shuley one bake oven. Item: I give and
bequeath to my great granddaughter Matilda Lutton one bake oven and Nancy
Lutton one skillet. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth
McQueen one pewter dish and one meal sieve also one large new tea kettle and
one pair of tongues. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Jones
one pewter dish. Also one brass kettle and feather bed and pillows to her
daughter Elizabeth Simonson. Item: I give and bequeath to my granddaughter
Ruth Leslie two pewter plates. Item: I give and bequeath to my grandson
Thomas Tindle one Bureau, one teammel (?). Item: I give and bequeath to my
granddaughter Margaret Tindle one fallin leaf ---. Item: I give and bequeath
to Elizabeth Noggle my churn also as much of my dressware as she chooses.
Item: The balance of my cupboard ware such as Elizabeth Noggle do not want, I
wish her to divide between my daughter Sarah and Margaret Jones Also my new
bedsteads to those who want them. Item: I give and bequeath to my
granddaughter Mary Ann Copper my spinning wheel. Item: I give and bequeath to
my grandson Thomas Palmer my clock. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughters
and grandchildren as follows to wit: Sarah Palmer, Margaret Jones, Elizabeth
McQueen, Elizabeth Noggle, Ruth Leslie, Nancy Brown and Nancy Tindle the
balance and residue of money that may be left after my estate is settled,
share and share alike. And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint Samuel
Smith and John Dawson, Executors, of this my last will hereby revoking all
other wills, legacies and bequeaths by me heretofore made and declaring this
and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of February one thousand
eight hundred and fifty two.
