The Carnesville Herald And Advance November 1, 1928
Miss Gunelle Hall entertained the children of the Baptist Sunday School at a
Hallowe'en party Tuesday afternoon. The room in which the party was held was
decorated with the Hallowe'en and autumn colors of leaves and corn besides other
Hallowe'en decorations. In a short time after the children arrived great
excitement arose by the arrival of witches and ghosts. Many games of the season
were enjoyed. Every child brought a penny for every year he had lived. A neat
little sum was realized. This sum is to be used for the new church to be built.

After the games were over peanuts, candy, and apples were enjoyed and then the
children departed after a very enjoyable afternoon.
