James Lyon's will was written 1865 and proved 1872.

Will of James Lyon

I James Lyon of Taylor township Fulton County & State of Penna Do Hereby make this
my last will & Tesetament as follows viz--to my son James G. Lyon I give & quit
claim to him of all means monies &c which I have in any way at this time in the
Wells Tannery property and store concern of the same -- (Recepts from my Deceast Son
Jno. W. Lyon & from my Deceast daughter Margrett Ross by her husband D.C. Ross for
their Respective Dowers in full are In hand) -- To my son Benjn A. Lyon I give &
bequeath all property I now own whether Real personal or mixed he paying all my just
Debts due by me -- and I do hereby make & apoint my son Benj A. Lyon Executor to this
my last will & testament -- in witness whereoff I have & do subscribe the foregoing
this 29th day of March eighteen Hundred & sixty five.

State of Pennsylvania, Fulton County S.S.:

On this 2nd day of May, A.D. 1872, before me, R.A. McDonald, Register for the
Probate of Wills &c, in and for said County, personally came Rowland Austin and
James M. McClure, two good and reliable citizens of the said County, who being duly
sworn according to law, depose and say that they are well acquainted with the
hand-writing of James Lyon the testator whose signature appears above; that they
have frequently seen him write, and that the signature of the said James Lyon, to
the above and foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and
testament of the said James Lyon is, as they verily believe in the hand-writing of
the said James Lyon, and his genuine signature; and also that the body of the will
is in his own hand-writing.

2nd day of May, A.D. 1872,
