Mr. Cavanaugh has been foreman of the Caledonia and other mines on the lead, and was the first foreman under John W. Mackay. His last employment was at the Union as watchman in the changing rooms and keeper of stores. Deceased was a native of the County of Wexford, Ireland. He leaves a wife and five children.
