Daily Nevada State Journal January 20, 1884
Death of a Popular Young Lady
Mrs. B. T. Carr, wife of the present train dispatcher at Wadsworth, Nevada, died
Thursday at St. Helena, Napa county. She was Miss Amy Childs, daughter of the
proprietor of Allen's Springs, a most estimable and popular young lady, who
resided in Sacramento at different times. Only a year or so ago she was happily
married after but a short acquaintance with the gentleman, and after but a
romantic courtship of but a week or two. Since last July she has been seriously
ill.
