The late William Anglemeyer
The young man William Anglemeyer, who died in San Francisco last Friday and was
brought here for burial on Monday, was no stranger among us. He was raised in
Ohio and possessed diplomas from educational institutions of both that state and
Pennsylvania. He arrived here in the spring of 1876 and immediately entered
upon the duties of principal of the public school at Franktown, in Washoe
valley. He stood high as an educator among those of that profession and was
regarded by all as a man of industry, integrity and intelligence. Two years
after his arrival at Franktown, he married the daughter of John Twiddle, an
estimable young lady of that place, whom he leaves a widow with two bright
little children- a girl nine and a boy five years of age. His many friends join
in sympathy to the bereaved widow and children, and lament that he should so
suddenly be called from earth in the full vigor of manhood.
