Additional Comments:
I would guess perhaps the first date Georg might have met Elizabeth at her
ship and maybe married by ships captain? I believe he left her behind and
sent for her and a 1 yr child he claimed as his.
The second perhaps they were married officially at the Catholic Church with
full blessings?
The September certificate has more than one handwriting on it, the church
name is handwritten in and the Rev.'s name was not given.....is why I assume
married by a ships captain. The 2nd certificate is on official St. Mary's
Church stamped paper and the Rev.'s name is given.
My comments by Ginny Eakin......they are my 4th grandparents (Georg, Johann,
William, Regis Sr....my dad.....then me)
