Revs. Ruth Whitehead and Sue Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Gardner Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the residence. Mrs. Smith, who leaves 100 descendants, died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Avenue Hospital, DuBois, after a long illness. She was 82. Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 2, 1878, in Toby Valley, daughter of Henry and Sarah Yale. She was married to George Edward Smith. He died in 1938. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Penfield Free Methodist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McCracken and Mrs. Elsie Kline, Bradford; Miss Dora Smith at home; and Mrs. Gladys Beldin, Sterling Run; seven sons; Ralph, Port Allegany; Burton, Gowanda, N.Y.: Charles, Penfield; Miles, at home; Harry, Weedville; and Lloyd, Penfield; 35 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
